Rumor has it that Adam Driver – that shirtless fellow from Girls who occupied my ex-girlfriend’s fantasies – is lined up to play the villain in the latest installment from Disney’s newly acquired franchise, Star Wars: Episode VII.
Apparently, Driver beat Michael Fassbender and Hugo Weaving to the role, which will see him playing a Darth Vader-esque character. Lena Dunham has recently expressed her delight via Twitter:
We’re VERY proud of Adam Driver re: Star Wars. He’s about to rip a hole in da force. Is that a thing? I guess I should see those movies?

Some of his ‘dark and mysterious’ character traits from Girls may be easily transferrable to this Star Wars role. I mean, Adam Sackler’s mercurial temperament and somewhat fractured psyche in the HBO series mirrors the typical make-up of a movie villain. Just ignore the relentless masturbating and filthy sex-talk.
Filming is due to start in April, and set to open in theaters in December, 2015.
